Fly Free Demos at JSA Cass Airfield

Have you ever wondered about flying in Second Life, or wanted to try out several different types of aircraft before buying one? .. especially since some of the more advanced flying vehicles can get quite expensive. There is a solution to this at J&S Aviation, Cass – in form of free flyable demos.

You can easily try out helicopters and aircraft, take off from JSA Cass Runway, and fly the demo over the vast protected lake area west from Cass, and when you are done, the vehicle will de-rez itself. Simple and easy.

The free flyable demos include the range of new Cubey Terra Helicopters (CTH-100 and CTH-200), which are located right next to the Cass Skyview Diner building, you can watch the demos take off sitting at the cozy seats at the diner too. 🙂 Across the runway you can find several Cubey Terra airplanes in a row next to the runway. Pushing the button labeled “Demo” will place the demo aircraft on the runway, ready to fly.

Fly over 28 protected sims from JSA Cass Airfield!

Flying airplanes, helicopters or airship in Second Life can sometimes be a daunting experience – because on private sims you usually get limited room to fly in, and on mainland there often can be banlines, fences and security systems at unexpected locations.

Fun flying with JSA Ultralight Helicopter

This is JSA’s first VTOL product. It is meant to be a fun recreational aircraft. We will be offering it on christmas sale for $250L till December 25, 2007. After that it will go up to $400L. This little champ offers features found in helicopters costing much more, and is most fun to fly!

HUD
We have included a very basic HUD with this helicopter. After you have selected “fly” you can then type “HUD”, uppercase please, and you will be asked if you want to attach the HUD. Select yes and a HUD will appear in the upper left corner of your screen. This HUD will provide the following information:

Altitude (Sealevel)
Altitude (Groundlevel)
Speed in knots
Compass directions, North, Northeast, East… and so on. Compass degrees 0-360 are also provided.

The HUD also provides you with five camera options!!!! They are:
Off, Driving Cam, Follow Cam, Overhead Cam and Landing Cam.

All camera options with the exception of “Off” allow you to use your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out.
